My Clayground and Carta Bella support Hope Grows
and Breast Cancer Research

What do painting pottery, stationery and breast cancer have in common?  My Clayground, a paint your own pottery studio and Carta Bella Stationery and Gifts in Roswell are participating in the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer’sSM ongoing promotion “Hope Grows” that raises funds to support breast cancer research.  To go along with the theme “Hope Grows,” My Clayground is making a flowerpot available for purchase and painting and Carta Bella will have Vera Bradley stationery and office products as well as lunch totes, and small accessory items available for purchase.

For each piece purchased during the event week of October 1-10, 2010, Mayco, the manufacturer of the blank pottery and producer of over 500 ceramic glaze products, will donate 20 percent of the sales to The Vera Bradley Foundation® and My Clayground and Carta Bella will also donate 20 percent of the sales of each Mayco flowerpot and Vera Bradley item purchased that week to the foundation. You may also pre-order your flowerpots now at My Clayground!
My Clayground and Carta Bella choose to support breast cancer research since they are both woman owned businesses, 90% of our customers are women and cancer affects everyone – male or female.  We believe the campaign signifies growth, hope and renewal, and that art and the creative process can be a healing activity.  By creating a functional piece of pottery and purchasing Vera Bradley products, everyone can help support a good cause.

A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, The Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer’sSM mission is to help eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by providing financial support for research and research-related subjects.  Vera Bradley is the maker of modern fabric luggage, purses and rugs, as well as stationery.
